What is a good Laptop?
Welcome to my Blog, So when buying a Laptop in todays outstanding range what do we look for? Well there is a couple of questions that you need to think of? So I would grab a pen and a piece of paper and brainstorm and ask yourself what is this for.
Speed/CPU/Processor
The speed of a computer is vital as this is the brain and will handle all the general workings from sending emails to surfing the web the CPU (Central Processing unit) The better the CPU the faster the computer will manage tasks. So make sure you see what the processor speed is and there is now Duel Core meaning two brains and quad core four brains. These are much better and your laptop will manage multiple tasks.
Memory/Storage Space
This is the computers hard drive So if we took loads of photos and videos this is where they would be stored and I can tell you know I would get as much memory as possible. Laptops now come with at least 1TB so I think this is now taken on by all laptop company's as we live in a data hungry world.
RAM
(random access memory) This is extremely important and would get as mush ram as possible.
Graphics Card
This again is a major part on how your laptop will perform, if playing video games this needs to be a good one. If just using laptop for web browsing the graphics card that has been built with laptop will be enough to support this.
PORTS
Laptops have a lot of different ports now I remember it use to just be USB but now you have Ethernet, HDMI, USB 2.0 /3.0 USB C. Again these will be in all Laptops now. So lets go through what these do
HDMI - this is on the Laptop for mainly presentations so you can plug this into your TV and do a demonstration of some sort. Also you can put a film on the TV or a game so friends can see. So is a good little feature to have.
Ethernet- This is used for a wired internet connection and used for a company to connect to a network sharing Printers and other data. But all routers are mainly wireless now anyway so don't need to connect this way for a laptop.
So conclusion you need to get as much as you can for your budget so I would concentrate on The CPU this is how fast it will be, Storage you need loads so go as much as you can and RAM try and get this high I have a Mac and it has 16GIG Ram its good for writing my Blog but playing a game it will struggle.
What I have done is Picked three laptops with a variety of price tags to give you an idea and I have placed links for you to see and have a feel on what to look for.
